AIVD/MIVD personal-dossier requests deliberately delayed until after hospitalisation

Note: work in progress, details will be added soon.

As you can see in the images below, I sent my initial requests to receive my dossier on 24 juli 2023.

The AIVD must handle such requests within a statutory period of three months from the date of receipt (Wiv 2017, informed by procedural guidelines under Article 80). This timeframe may be extended by up to four weeks if justified by the complexity of the request or volume of data, with written notification required. For a letter sent on 24 July 2023—assuming prompt postal delivery and receipt shortly thereafter—the baseline deadline would fall on 24 October 2023. With the maximum extension, the latest possible fulfilment date is 22 November 2023 (accounting for the additional 28 days).

However, I did not receive these dossiers until December and January respectively. I will dig up the final responses soon.

The MIVD had no data on me, and the AIVD told me I was named but not implicated in an investigation into another person, presumably my aunt who worked for foreign affairs.

The AIVD's last postponement. The MIVD's last postponement. A letter proving I requested information as to why the MIVD and AIVD didn't respond within the legally set time frame.
